HAMMER is a special additive! It should be used in difficult and/or dry crops. It is suitable for dry matters between 35-50% (can go higher with increased dosage) and pure alfalfa or clover or grass-clover mixtures with high buffering capacity and low sugar content. HAMMER provides a quick nitrite release which is followed up with a strong yeast inhibitor from the first day of ensiling. This is especially needed as the pH doesn’t drop rapidly in these crops. During feed-out, it is even more important with a strong yeast inhibitor to prevent heating.
